Dr. Silva is a renowned expert in the development and application of multimodal neuroimaging methods to study the brain’s anatomy and function. His laboratory works with genetically engineered marmoset models of Alzheimer’s disease, stroke, and other neurological disorders. He received his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Universidade Federal de Pernambuco in Recife, Brazil, and his Ph.D. in bioengineering from Carnegie Mellon University.
